What a beautiful day for a swim thought Debbie.
Boy are my wings getting tired, I think I'll land on that nice pond over there and just float around for a bit.
Debbie landed on the pond just as a frog popped up that had been sleeping on a lily pad.

"Who said you could float in my pond!" he said.
"I'm sorry said Debbie, It just looked so nice and inviting that I decided to float around for awhile."
"Well said the frog, "This is my pond and I don't want anybody on it but me!" "Just who are you?" said Debbie.
"I'm Billy Bullfrog and this is my pond."
"I'm sorry, I didn't think anyone would mind if I just used it for awhile." said Debbie.
"Well, I DO" shouted Billy.

Just as Debbie was about to fly away and leave the pond to Billy, up walked a very large cow.
"My name is Connie, and I just wanted to know Mr. Bullfrog, since when did this pond become yours" she asked.
"It was my pond before you ever got here" said Billy, "And I plan on keeping it that way!
"I don't think so!" said Connie, "I will use this pond any time I want and if anyone will be leaving it will be YOU!" she mooed.
Debbie just sat on the grass listening to the frog and the cow arguing over whose pond it was and she just thought to herself "How silly, arguing over a pond and who it belongs to."

As Billy and Connie continued to argue over the pond, Debbie sat on the grass and along came a pig.
"I'm Penny and this is my pond, so you can all leave!" she said.
"I'm not leaving!" said Billy,
"And I'm not leaving either!" said Connie.
Debbie just sat and listened to them argue, trying to figure out what to do. "This is just silly, why can't we all just share the pond?" said Debbie. "Share" said Billy "Why would I want to share with any of you!" "And by the way, what does sharing mean, anyway?" said Billy.

"I know what sharing means!" said Penny, "And I am not going to do it!"
"Why would you not want to share?" said Debbie. "I was taught that when ever you have something nice that you should be willing to share it with others." "That does sound like a good idea!" said Connie, "I think that Debbie is right that we should all share the pond and not be selfish!"

"Well, said Billy, "I don't want to be selfish so I would be willing to share if everyone else will."
"I guess it does sound like a good idea," said Penny. "Let's all enjoy it together!"
So they all swam, drank, floated and sat on the pond enjoying each other's company and the nice cool water of the pond.

"I think we have all learned a valuable lesson today" said Debbie.
"What's that?" asked Billy.
"Well we have all learned what it means to share and we have all became good friends!" said Debbie.

"You're right!" said Penny and Connie; "We have made some good friends and found out that when we have something we should be willing to share it with others." "That's right!" said Debbie, "But I have to be going now, my family will be waiting for me."

"BYE, BYE!" they all shouted as Debbie flew away, "Hope you will come back soon!"

"I will!" said Debbie, "And maybe I will bring my family when I come back!"

So Debbie left the pond and flew home to her family to tell them of the adventure she had and of all the new friends she had made. She thought to herself how nice it was to help someone else to learn the things that she had been taught by her parents. She hoped that they all would remember and teach there families and friends, too.
