SYNOPSIS Summer Time is finally here, and for Kookaburra Kitty it means a long earned break with her closest and best friend Felicity Fruity. What better way to celebrate than to go on a summer break? This next adventure sees the friends enjoying time on the beach. It was Summer-time, which meant a nice long weekend break for Kookaburra Kitty. It was planned by her best friend, Felicity Fruity. After leaving household instructions to Joey the marmoset, her eldest and most responsible animal friend in charge, they headed off to the seashore and were now basking in the sun, on the warm sandy beach, under the shade of a beach chair and umbrella. "Ah, this is the life, isn't it, Kitty?" said Felicity Fruity, handing her a triple-flavour ice cream cone. "Mmm." replied Kookaburra Kitty, gazing straight across the coastline. As she turned to face Felicity her eyes grew wide with excitement. "Wow, I wasn't expecting a triple-flavour cone! Thanks very much, Felicity." "You're always welcome." replied Felicity, carefully handing it to her. "Actually, all the flavours looked so delicious; I just couldn't make up my mind, so I decided to go for that one." "But what about you Felicity?" Felicity giggled and excused herself. In a few moments, she returned, holding a basket of fruit which included a bottle of barley fruit squash and a glass. She poured some and took a sip. "You really do think of everything, Felicity!" said Kookaburra Kitty, giggling. "It's so lovely here." said Kookaburra Kitty. "The last time I remember going to the beach was when I was knee-high." "Maybe next year, when the children are a little older, we can all come together!" suggested Felicity. "Yes, they'd love that. But right now, I have one thing that I have always wanted to do, before we leave, and if that's not fulfilled, then this summer-break will be incomplete." "What that, Kitty?" "First you need to close your eyes tightly, as I am going surprise you." "Oh, I just love surprises. Okay!" As Felicity shut her eyes, Kookaburra Kitty left for a short while, and when she returned. "You may open your eyes...now!" "WOW! a sand bucket, spade and a beach-ball! What more do we need!" said Felicity jumping up and down. "You know, I'm so happy, I feel like singing." said Kookaburra Kitty. So, the two friends spent the remaining time of their Summer-break building sand-castles, playing beach ball and singing. "We're both enjoying our Summer Holiday, Summer Holiday, and we hope that you are too."
