If I could pick the groceries When my mom goes to the store, The shelves inside our cupboards Would be filled with fun galore! There'd be a shelf for candy, Every flavor that I liked, And every color, shape and size Would be there in my sight. And plenty of potato chips, Popcorn and pretzels too, Oreos and Chips Ahoy And Jell-o that is blue. Candy bars and cupcakes too, Pies and chocolate cakes, Soda pop and donuts With no fear of belly-aches. But if this really happened, Mom would give me so much grief, 'cuz if I ate my wish list all this stuff would rot my teeth!
