SYNOPSIS
A kid on Christmas Eve
Daddy's read "The Night before...",
just like every Christmas Eve.
Big brother says that Santa's not;
he must think that I'm naïve.
Fighting yawns and all worn out,
but I'll stay for Santa Claus.
Want to wait, but Mommy said
have to go to bed because...
...Santa will not come around,
must be snuggled up, asleep,
counting all those sugar plums
and those flocks of snowy sheep.
So, I'm fast asleep in bed;
I hear jingling on the roof.
Hear old Santa calling out
and the patter of each hoof.
Quietly, I sneak downstairs
and see an amazing sight!
There is Santa by the tree,
reflected in the fire's light.
Quickly, I pretend to sleep
and then hear above my head,
Santa saying "Night!" to all.
It was just like Daddy read!
