My Mummy and Daddy were getting ready for the new baby coming home.
It was coming out of my mummy's tummy after being in there for lots of years.

They made the new baby a new bedroom with lots of yellow walls, yellow blankets and yellow toys. There were even yellow clothes and little tiny nappies hanging on the wall.

The new baby had a bed in Mummy and Daddy's room with bars on the side.
I wish I could move my bed to Mummy and Daddy's room too.

One day Mummy was holding her big big tummy and on the phone to Daddy to tell him to come home.

Nanny and Grandad came to my house to look after me and wanted to talk about the new baby.
I did not want to talk about the new baby; I do not like the new baby!
I just wanted to play my own games with Nanny and Grandad like we always did. It was fun.

Lots of days later Mummy and Daddy came home with the new baby in a little seat like a dish with a handle.
Nanny and Grandad went to have a look and asked me to come and meet my new baby sister, whose name was Maddy.
I did not want to meet her; I do not like the new baby!

Mummy and Daddy played games with me and read books with me and asked if I wanted to hold the new baby?
I climbed on to the sofa and Mummy put the new baby on my knee for a cuddle. She did not talk to me, she looked at me.
It felt nice and made me feel happy.

Mummy and Daddy said I was a good big brother.
I thought I did not like the new baby...... but I LOVE the new baby, my baby sister Maddy.
