If you make friends with a snowman,
What would he say?
"Let's catch snowflakes all day!
Is that okay?"

I'd say, "Sure, but I'd have to take breaks
For a hot chocolate or two,
You'd need an iced chocolate,
That's what I'd bring for you!"

"Let's jump in the snow"
The snowman may say,
"And then dance like a snowman,
I'll show you the way!"

"How about a snowball fight?
We could throw ball after ball!"
"But my arms are branches..." he'd say,
"I wouldn't be good at throwing at all..."

"Don't worry, please don't.
I'll give you some gloves.
Special gloves for snowmen,
Ones that you'll love.

You can make lots of snowballs
And throw them at me.
Then we'll ride fast on a sled
Down the hill, Yip-e-e-e!"

Would the snowman want to visit my room
And play with my toys?
He'd melt very soon.
I could bring my favourite toys outside
And we'd play a long time - just snowman and I.

Evening would come,
Pizza for dinner,
Wouldn't it be nice
To go outside and
Offer the snowman a slice?

Mom would say, "Draw a circle in the snow.
Use pretend vegetables for toppings,
You can decide where they go."

A dark night and full moon
Shines on my friend.
We had a great day,
Too bad it had to end.

If you make friends with a snowman
Just look forward to another day
When the two of you
Can play and play and play!
