SYNOPSIS

Mia is forced to face one of the toughest battles of her life when feelings of sadness and withdrawal start to consume her.

Without the help of her mother and her therapist, she wouldn't have been able to pull herself through.

This story is meant to remind you that it's okay to not be okay and that sometimes you can't fight a battle alone.

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Why do you sit on your bed and cry?

I hear the kids playing and having some fun

Running around in the hot summer sun

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Go jump in the pool, you shouldn't stay dry!

In my room I'd rather stay

Alone I want, so far away

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

There's a rainbow in the sky!

The ceiling is all that I want to see

Please close the door and leave me be

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Whatever you want I promise I'll buy!

Out with the old and in with the new!

I'd rather stay here, to lay and be blue

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Someone's here! I think it's a guy!

Whoever it is, just tell him to go

Myself right now, I don't want to show

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Help me make an apple pie!

A pie you say, I don't want to bake

No brownies, no muffins, and not even cake

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Eye spy with my little eye!

I do not want to play that game

What you choose, I will not name

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Can you help me pick a tie?

I don't want to pick out what you wear

What you wear, I do not care

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Can Grandma come in to say goodbye?

I do not want her to see me like this

I do not want her to give me a kiss

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

What's that falling from your eye?

Nothing I say!

Just go away!

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Why do you sit on your bed and cry?

I really don't know, I wish I could say

I don't understand why I'm wired this way!

It's just not fair, if only you knew

If you were like me, you'd do what I do

No one understands, oh not even me!

I'm trapped in my head, for I am not free

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

It hurts me so to see you cry

I know I'm a burden, I know that it's true

Life without me, would be easier for you

Mama! Mama! I don't know what's wrong!

I feel so sad; I know I'm not strong!

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

It hurts my heart to hear your reply!

Mia! Mia! You are so wrong!

You're not weak, for you are strong!

There are things in life you can't do alone

And if not said, for you haven't grown

Asking for help is what you must do

I know it can feel like having the flu

Give it a chance! Mia Oh My!

All - you - have - to - do - is - try!

You can say and do whatever you feel

The feelings you feel that feel so real

It's your centre stage

Whatever your age!

What you say and what you do

Will stay between the two of you

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Please don't sit on your bed and cry

Okay! Okay! I'll give it a go

Just please don't ask me to play in the snow

Buckle on up! It might take a while!

I hide my face, to hide my smile

We're finally here

I quietly cheer

I let her go

She runs the show!

An hour goes by

Oh Mia! Oh My!

I hope she's okay

I really do pray

She opens the door, she's coming on out

But on her face, I don't see a pout

It's really quite rare, not seen for a while

I think it's the first time I've seen her smile!

You did it! You did it!

I knew that you could!

You did it! You did it!

I knew that you would!

Come give me a hug!

My little love bug!

A burden you're not, you are such a treasure!

My love for you I simply can't measure!

Mama! Mama! Can we go home?

My hair could really use a comb!

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Buckle up! (I try not to cry)

Mia! Mia! We are home!

Go inside and grab your comb

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

I'm checking to see if your toothbrush is dry!

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Why do you sit on your bed and cry?

Mama! Mama! Don't worry about me

Not trapped in my head, for I am now free!

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Go jump in the pool, you shouldn't stay dry!

In my room I don't want to stay

The pool I go to swim and play

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

There's a rainbow in the sky!

I'm coming! I'm coming! Wait up for me!

A rainbow! A rainbow! I'm coming to see!

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Whatever you want I promise I'll buy!

Out with the old and in with the new!

I really would love a shirt that's blue

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Someone is here! I think it's a guy!

I know who it is, please tell him wait!

For he is the one that I want to date!

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Help me make an apple pie!

A pie you say, I'd love to bake

Brownies, and muffins, and lots of cake!

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Eye spy with my little eye!

Eye spy with my little eye

A man who can't pick out a tie

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Can you help me pick a tie?

I want to pick out what you wear

What you wear, I really care

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

Can Grandma come in to say goodbye?

I do want Grandma to see me like this

I do want Grandma to give me a kiss

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

What's that falling from your eye?

Tears I say

I'm happy, okay?

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

It warms my heart to hear your reply!

Mia! Mia! We are home!

Go inside and grab your comb

*Bed Time*

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

I'm checking to see if your toothbrush is dry

Mia! Mia! Mia Oh My!

I'm happy you sit on your bed and cry,

Happy tears.
